Sick Sick Sick Sick

Yep, that’s four sick people in our house, starting at midnight last night. Ronnie and I tossed and turned in bed last night when I finally got up to eat some cereal thinking I was too hungry to sleep. It didn’t go down well, so I found myself running to the bathroom to get sick at midnight. While I was throwing up, I overheard Ronnie run to the kitchen sink to do the same. Then he came back and told me that his brother was getting sick in the front bathroom also! We immediately assumed it was food poisoning from the egg salad that Ronnie had bought at the store earlier that afternoon. But then I overheard Skyler coughing from the baby monitor, so I checked on her and sure enough she had thrown up all over her bed too! She didn’t eat the egg salad.

Ronnie and I teamed up to give Skyler a bath and change her sheets, during which we both threw up another time. After getting settled and laying back down in bed, we overheard his brother on the baby monitor getting sick more, which sent me running to the bathroom again as well. And again I heard Ronnie do the same thing to the kitchen sink! This was how our night went from midnight on. Luckily Skyler didn’t get sick the rest of the night. This morning I gave her some water and rice cereal which she immediately threw up in her high chair. Thank God for mothers because after a desperate call from me at 6:30 this morning, my mom drove over with soup, crackers, Pedialyte, and vitamin drinks for us. She also cleaned up Skyler’s highchair mess, put her crib bedding back on, played with her, and made Jell-O for us before finally taking Skyler back to her house for the day so we could all rest up. I don’t know how I would’ve gotten through the day without my mom!

It’s now 2:30 in the afternoon and I just got out of bed to attempt some soup since I hadn’t thrown up since this morning. But as soon as I looked at the soup can I had to run to the bathroom and get sick again. Ronnie is still in bed and his brother is playing video games. I hope this comes to an end soon because I have nothing left!

  1. OMGoodness, you poor people. I wanted to check in and wish you a Happy Thanksgiving, but I’ll wish you well first!
