“Weather” – 18 x 24 inch abstract painting on paper

I am so often inspired by nature, even if it’s not literal in most of my work. The observation of and relationship to nature is where so much inspiration can be found. Whether it’s mountains, lakes, trees, oceans or even the daily weather, there is so much wisdom to be gained.

Weather, especially here in the Midwest, can be so very fickle. It can deliver so much beauty via sunsets and rainbows, and so much damage from tornadoes and floods. And it alters our daily life in so many seemingly miniscule ways with its unpredictable behavior. As French novelist Marcel Proust said: “A change in the weather is sufficient to recreate the world and ourselves.” He was also responsible for penning the longest novel in the world!

This is an intuitive abstract painting on mixed media paper. The paper size is 18″ x 24″ inches and will require matting and framing to display (not included with purchase – images showing frames are for styling only),
