Why am I drawn to paint nude female figures?

There’s a lot to uncover, but in the wake of Mahsa Amini’s death, my motivation became clearer.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
By painting these women, I want to release the female body from the blame, shame, and judgement we carry for the sins of others. I want to celebrate the beauty and miraculous capabilities of the female body to create and nurture life. I want to create a space for women to simply be, safely and freely, in our most natural form.
