Resting up

I’ve been a bad blogger lately. But in reality I’m taking a sort of breather before I start doing some mad blogging next week. I’ll be posting at least three times a week here and elsewhere, which I’m still not officially allowed to say anything, but if anyone’s been paying attention for the last several weeks, you might have an idea what I’m talking about! So look for something this upcoming Monday, May 4th.

In the meantime, a little Skyler update: she has learned to say “no” and she knows what it means. Right now it’s still adorable and funny, but it’s just the earliest stages of an ever-growing independence that will be sure to bring us some challenges over the years! Some of the fun conversations she and I have had this week:

Me arriving at daycare to pick her up after work: “Are you ready to go bye-bye with Mommy?”
Skyler: “No.”

Me: “Are you ready to get out of the bathtub?”
Skyler: “No.”
Me: “Yes.”
Skyler: “No.”

Me: “Can I have a kiss?”
Skyler: “No.”

Ahhh, what love…

  1. Soon it will be, nanna, nanna boo-boo, you can’t catch me, as she goes peeling through the house.
