SOLD – Permission to Rest – 48″ x 48″ colorful abstract painting on canvas

Description

After a much needed period of rest, which I fought and felt guilty about because it felt like laziness and a lack of inspiration, I was drawn to my first giant canvas and this beautiful, vibrant and energetic colorful abstract painting flowed through me. It was nothing but fun – and in hindsight realize that time of frustrating lack of productivity and laying around was just the catalyst for something beautiful building up. It teaches me to allow more grace for myself during times of less productivity, and just let my art ebb and flow.

As of February 2021, this piece is on display at Level Up Nutrition in Lee’s Summit, if you are local to Kansas City and would like to see it in person. It is acrylic paint on canvas with oil pastel.
